How do I fix AI discoverability issues?
Use Issues and Pages to find what's costing you score, see the affected URLs, and copy a ready-made fix brief for your developer.
Every AI discoverability crawl runs the same set of checks on each indexable page. The Issues view lists every check, how many pages fail it, and how that changed since the comparison crawl. From there you can see the exact URLs affected and hand a ready-made fix brief to whoever looks after your website.
Each issue has a severity. Error, shown in red, stops AI crawlers reading the page, so fix these first. Warning, shown in orange, makes the page less likely to be read or cited. Notice, shown in green, is a smaller improvement worth making when you can. Each issue also belongs to a pillar and shows what it costs, for example −20 Bot access.
The tabs at the top of Issues switch between Actual, New, All tracked and Turned off. Filter by severity or by pillar to narrow the list. After your second crawl, the Change columns show how many URLs were Added, New, Removed or Missing for each issue.
How to fix an issue
- Open AI discoverability and choose Issues.
- Click an issue to read Issue details and How to fix.
- Select View affected URLs to see every page with that issue and a chart of affected pages per crawl. Use Filter URLs to find a specific page.
- Click Fix on a page. The How to fix this page window lists every issue on that URL, most important first, with what's wrong, the steps, what to aim for and how to check.
- Click Copy for developer to copy the brief as Markdown, or Download .md to save it. It pastes cleanly into Slack, Jira, Linear, GitHub or email.
- Once the change is live, wait for the next crawl, or start one, to see the issue clear.
The Pages view lists every crawled URL. Search URLs or page titles, filter by page type, severity, HTTP status, structured data, content without JavaScript, AI citations or change since the last crawl, and sort by importance or by your lowest pillar scores. Open any page for its Fix checklist, the robots.txt verdict for each bot and the structured data found on it.
- Fix briefs are built from the crawl's own evidence, so they use no AI tokens.
- If a check doesn't apply to your site, open the issue's menu and choose Turn off issue. The latest crawl is re-scored without a new crawl, and you can turn it back on from Settings.
- If a page has been given the wrong type, add a page type override by URL pattern in Settings.
Tip: the Top issues card on Overview ranks problems by pages affected multiplied by points lost, so the issues at the top of it move your score the most.
