Metrics glossary
What does the up or down % next to a metric mean?
The change vs the previous period of equal length — green is better, red is worse, 'New' means no prior data.
Most metrics show a small arrow and percentage beside them — that's the change vs the previous period of equal length (the last 30 days vs the 30 before it, for example).
How to read it Green ▲ means improved, red ▼ means worse. For "lower is better" metrics like Average Position, a decrease is shown as good. "New" means there's no prior period yet to compare against.
It's the same indicator everywhere — AI Search, Agent Analytics, Prompt Volumes, and the dashboard — always relative to the date range you've selected.
