How does the 7-day free trial work?
Every new account starts a 7-day free trial of the Starter plan at the end of onboarding. You add a card at checkout, can cancel any time, and billing starts when the trial ends.
Every new WriteWorks account starts with a 7-day free trial of the Starter plan. This article explains how the trial starts, what it includes, what happens when it ends and how to cancel.
The trial starts at the end of onboarding. Once WriteWorks has set up your brand, prompts and competitors, it takes you to a secure Stripe checkout for the Starter plan. You enter your card details there, but you are not charged during the trial. If you leave checkout before finishing, you see a Start your 7-day free trial screen when you next sign in, with a Start 7-day trial button to pick up where you left off. Your first visibility scan keeps running in the background while you check out.
During the trial you have the full Starter plan, including ChatGPT tracking, your tracked prompts swept daily, your plan's monthly AI tokens, one market, competitor tracking, the editor, Context and agents. The Billing page shows your plan with the status Trialing.
When the trial ends, your Starter subscription starts automatically and the card you added is charged for your first month. You do not need to do anything to keep your account.
How to cancel during the trial
- Open Settings, then Billing.
- On the Current plan card, click Cancel.
- Check the date your access ends, then click Cancel at period end.
You keep access until the trial ends and are not charged. Until then, you can click Resume to keep your subscription after all. If you cancel, your data and brand profile are kept, so you can pick a plan later without setting up again.
How to upgrade during the trial
- Open Settings, then Plans.
- Compare Starter, Growth and Enterprise and click Upgrade to on the plan you want.
Your new plan's limits apply as soon as the change goes through. Only Owners and Admins can change or cancel the plan.
Prices are not listed here because they depend on your plan and billing cycle. The Plans page always shows the current figures.
Tip: use the trial week to fill in your Context and check your tracked prompts. The better your setup, the more useful your first week of data will be.
